Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro has been an essential tool for both my team and my organization, especially during the influx of remote work. Having the ability to have a virtual white board that has unlimited space has been critical for me to both gather research, glean insights, and provide a strategic path forward.

Additionally, I've used Miro as a place to hold virtual "workshops" with external clients. It's easy to set up a workspace and have outside end-users come into the Miro board without the need of a license. Even if an end-user isn't familiar with how to use Miro, it has been straightforward and easy to give a quick "how-to" before jumping into the working session.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Collaboration
  • Wire frames

Cons

  • Obviously Miro isn't used for data/dashboarding, but potentially something to think about from an integration standpoint.
  • Potentially adding some interactive features for more engaging workshops. Rather than just having drag and drop.
  • Definitely reduced project completion time.
  • Improved collaboration and quicker turn around on feedback.
  • The ability to have a place to run virtual workshops with clients.
It's been essential. Our organization is very limited on software licenses, and this has been the 1 tool that I really can't live without, especially with the work that I do for management consulting / Strategy and Design.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Not sure if I'm just more used to Miro, but I definitely prefer Miro to Lucidchart.

While Miro can be used for UX/UI design, Figma is geared more toward front-end development. I do end up preferring Figma, but it isn't something that everyone can use. Higher learning curve.
I've started to use the free version of Miro for my own side project, and have been able to get my one colleague to jump in and get started easily. It's been super nice to have a free Miro instance.

At times, when there are so many items inside 1 Miro board, it does become a bit laggy. Not a deal breaker, but something I've noticed.
