Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for:
- Process mapping - we map out new processes in order to fully understand the new flow and ensure nothing is missed and we also map existing process to discover opportunities/bottlenecks
- Brainstroming sessions - the templates within miro are great for collaborative brainstorming sessions that are engaging and organized
- Virtual ice breakers - the built in ice breaker games in miro are great when kick starting a project or working group
Pros
- Growing set of templates for every use case imaginable
- Very intuitive UI
- Easy to collaborate and share
Cons
- Being able to port data from other applications
- More automation
- Integrate AI software like chatgpt
- Helped us identify bottlenecks in our processes
- Helped us to brainstorm new ideas that save resources
- Helps get sign off from project groups since they can visually see the process
We love using miro for brainstorming sessions. The whiteboard look and feel transfers very well even though it is virtual and tools like the timer and ambient music make it easier for the hosts to manage the group in a professional/organized fashion. Before our collaboration was limited to email or zoom calls where not all of the great ideas were captured in the meeting minutes. Miro makes collecting ideas all at once much faster.

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Miro again?
Yes
Miro is miles ahead in my eyes and the future of process mapping. Visio is not as easy to pick up out of the box and use, it requires more training, doesn't look as good visually and is not as collaborative. Miro does almost every component better than Visio and I use Miro over Visio every time - I also recommend to Visio users and encourage they switch over.
