Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Miro to map out processes in order to identify bottlenecks, pain points or other areas for improvement. We use it for both current state and future state mapping as well as to compile team inputs for improvement activities. We often make use of the voting features in the tool to help the team narrow down their selections/recommendations.

Collaboration

Miro allows us to have lean focused events with teams across the globe. We can assign work in different time zones, meet briefly to review and then continue work in later time zones. Having teams work simultaneously across many time zones allows us to still have collaborative events but without the travel related expenses.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Teams

Miro's white board feature is superior to Teams. Teams is fine for voice/video/screen sharing but is not as good as Miro for collaborating in a single space like the Miro Whiteboard

Miro is a great tool for online collaboration with a remote team. We use it for cross functional and multi-site events allowing team members to participate from where ever they are located. We often don't make full use of the viewing capabilities because we use it in combination with Teams, so everyone can see the screen as its shared there too
