Overall Satisfaction with Miro

My teams use Miro to collaborate across multiple teams, organizations, time zones. We create boards that we use in client workshops to capture process flows, design details and even to drive presentations. For my current client, we have created over 15 boards. It is a great record for meetings/working sessions as it is the source of truth and it allows team members to go in before or after a working session to review and add to the details.

Pros

  • Allows team members to collaborate at the same time
  • Great visuals for remote working sessions to keep people engaged
  • Easy to use, and no requirements for all users to have a license

Cons

  • Recently there have been some issues with down time
  • Additional templates would be nice
  • More abilities to create high fidelity designs
  • Improved productivity
  • Client satisfaction
  • Increased employee/client engagement
Miro has greatly supported collaboration with remote workshops. I don't know how we would have survived during the pandemic. It has streamlined and enhanced the process for working with multiple stakeholders across many locations and time zones. In addition to to supporting remote working, the tool is so great, I've also used it for in-person workshops, so that we have a full digital capture of the workshop.
It seems comparable, although I see Figma being used for higher fidelity comps and wireframes. I have only viewed Figma, not edited, but I hear that Miro seems to be easier to use.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It is perfect for organizing and facilitating client Discovery/Design sessions. Creating a board template creates a lot of structure, preparedness, and professionalism for workshops. It lends itself well to large group discussions where you have multiple users collaborating at the same time. Users can add their inputs without one person needing to take all the notes.
