Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for facilitating large events which begin with brainstorming, move through idea scoring, and finish with planning. We will use a board for the duration of that event or for months/years afterwards depending on the project.

Pros

  • Allows for presentation mode and for me to follow one user's cursor
  • Excellent integration to bring tasks in from Excel or bi-directional communication with Jira
  • Organize thoughts followed by scoring of those thoughts
  • Time management, timers, music, etc.
  • Voting options

Cons

  • Mixes up mouse/tablet mode somtimes
  • Performance for exceptionally large boards
  • Scaling... sometimes things come in much smaller or larger than I expected.
Computer interaction (as opposed to mobile/tablet) is excellent. I don't have direct experience with mobile. Using frames for organization and presentation, nested items, and the map make for easy navigation. Overall performance is better than other tools that I've used.
Very good integration with Jira which is the only integration I have used.
Doing multi-site projects, or with individuals who cannot travel to facilitated events is a strong point of Miro. I have done events with numerous timezones without a challenge. The user interface is simple and natural enough that on-boarding new team members takes just a few minutes.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Best whiteboard tool. Good for collaboration. Shortcuts like hitting Tab while in a sticky note makes an identical, empty note next to it allowing for a very streamlined entry of ideas.
