Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Capturing interviews, conducting design reviews, managing project status through kanban boards, storyboarding narratives, conducting brainstorms and many other design activities. It’s become an essential tool and platform for working together virtually on complex design projects.
Pros
- collaboration with virtual team members on creative challenges
- collecting/capturing input on design reviews
- project and workflow mapping
- AI summary tools to synthesize inputs
Cons
- navigation/wayfinding of board histories ('what was that board called?' where did i see that?)
- copy/pasting content in shapes vs frames and moving around is sometimes a hassle
- related to above point, easily locking/layering content to move vs not move when working with templates or frames can be a hassle
- as a design function, this is probably the most critical tool we have (post covid) outside of MS Office suite. Couldn't live without it.
- Greatly improved remote collaboration with teams, improved efficiencies
- Hassles do come up when trying to work with people who DONT have Miro licenses/access (inside and outside our company)
Absolutely essential tool for our work as global teams. As stated earlier, i couldn't live without it at this point, and dont know how I survived before we had it (started in 2020 during Covid lockdowns). Enable work from home, working asynchronously, virtual "real time" collaborations, and new AI features are pretty cool.
