Miro: the best online whiteboard
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro boards to visualize new topics from start to finish. Initially for brainstorming, story mapping, quick mock designs and later also for tracking progress of those stories and tasks. It's a one stop view to see what the team is working on and a common place to put feedback and the latest comments relevant to the topic. It's also a great visual aid for any meetings about the topic.
Pros
- Story mapping
- Quick mockups
- Simple user flows
- Brainstorming
Cons
- Organizing many frames on one board
- Loading speed on large boards
- More image editing capabilities
- Tools for detailed user flows
- Improved visibility and traceability
- Quicker analysis of new topics
- Quicker wireframes and mockups
- Clear storymap
Our team works remotely most of the time so Miro has been essential to our online collaboration. The Miro board acts as a source of truth and a common visual workspace. Anyone can access the board on their own schedule and still get an overview of the latest status. All team members can leave comments, propose designs or update the board with the latest status.
Figma is more suited for detailed mockups and user interfaces, but it's harder to get used to. Miro is more straight forward and anyone can create some simple designs. The collaboration is also way smoother on a Miro board and it's just easier to get everyone on board. Especially during meetings, Miro is the perfect board to quickly visualize notes and ideas.
