Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro on several ways. One is team coordinations and project management so that we can track upcoming activities. I also use it to facilitate strategy development workshops through collaborative thought gathering, framework building, and to collect feedback. The final most common use is for gathering feedback on deliverables and research and identifying actionable next steps or hypotheses to test based on the data we are seeing.

Pros

  • Intuitive design and user experience
  • I love that you can easily paste images and documents into Miro
  • Conversion of tables into stickies

Cons

  • Option to paste a pdf as a document or as a set of images
  • Allow enterprise users to create a link that doesn’t require login
  • Provide a standard how to use Miro template on new boards, with option to not include it
  • Now that I have some of my favorite templates built out, I can start up projects much faster
  • It allows us to have more productive and meaningful conversations when we can see all the data in one place
  • It has provided transparency and visibility across the team
It would have been so much harder to stay coordinated without Miro. I work almost exclusively on disperse teams, and Miro keeps us “rowing in the same canoe” so that we have strong visibility to what others are working on and can easily provide feedback and support
Miro is much easier to use and provides a lot more capability for various use cases (especially over Jamboard and Whiteboard). The biggest issue I’ve had with Miro is access for non organization users, but this is quickly resolved when they create an account.

I used Mural but it wasn’t nearly as intuitive and Miro had a more elegant user interface + look and feel

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Good for virtual workshop facilitation when participants have sufficient bandwidth to participate meaningfully.

good for gathering feedback asynchronously on documents, deliverables, and research

good for fostering team collaboration

less appropriate for large blocks of text, financial modeling, things that require a lot of formatting
