Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro has been an invaluable tool for planning and road mapping as a product manager. Its versatility makes it easy to map out ideas, visually organize roadmaps, and align with my teams, especially in a remote setup. The ability to quickly create and adjust frameworks—such as user journeys, workflows, and prioritization matrices—accelerates the ideation and planning phases.

Pros

  • Flexible Roadmapping.
  • Great, pre-built Templates.
  • Easy to share.
  • Easy to collaborate
  • Easy to share an idea as an image.

Cons

  • Share only a portion of a board.
  • More robust templates for wireframing.
  • Collaborate with others without a Miro account.
  • Quicker alignment across dev team.
  • Easier alignment across the org.
  • Not everyone at my org uses Miro, and FigJam is usually the default for my designers, although I prefer Miro.
Miro has significantly enhanced our organization’s ability to collaborate on new projects, particularly by bridging the gap between a fully remote team. We can bring all team members into the same virtual space, regardless of location, enabling real-time brainstorming, planning, and decision-making without the usual hurdles. The app's flexibility allows us to structure our sessions creatively—whether we’re conducting design sprints, mapping out user journeys, or prioritizing features on our product roadmap.
I prefer Miro over FigJam because it offers a robust set of templates and tools that go beyond simple brainstorming, enabling me to plan complex roadmaps and strategic initiatives seamlessly. Miro feels easier to use and like it was built for non-design folks like myself. I also think sharing is easier through Miro than FigJam.

It is so easy to use and so flexible that you can use it for just about anything. Its visual and collaborative capabilities make it a powerful tool for aligning teams around a shared product vision or roadmap, especially when quick adjustments and team inputs are essential. The ability to quickly create and adjust frameworks—such as user journeys, workflows, and prioritization matrices—accelerates the ideation and planning phases.
