Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to facilitate and visualize discussions such as project and product planning, process mapping, journey mapping, and retrospectives. There is a wide range of uses and engagement across the company. In my organization, HR, there are generally those who own these boards and guide others through them, as others don't feel comfortable learning a new tool. However, Miro is incredibly easy to understand if you put in an hour or two, and it greatly facilitates my planning.

Pros

  • Allowing diversity of engagement.
  • Multiple users editing at the same time.
  • Templates
  • Leading discussions and co-working sessions.
  • Mapping processes and journeys.

Cons

  • Making locking or unlocking items easier.
  • Easy uniformity of formatting choices.
  • Provided quicker ways for stakeholders to react to prototypes.
  • Saved time and simplified in visualizing process maps.
  • Created a shared space where people can easily and quickly provide insights and feedback (sometimes anonymously).
The project managers are more of the "Miro users" in my organization. Miro makes it easy to create a space that will allow people to react quickly or build together without interrupting each other. It is easy to stay organized, templates provide ways of rapidly adding new elements, and most of our interaction with others providing input is simple.
These other products' collaborative workspaces and integration are much more limited, tangential, and less enduring. Miro is much more robust yet also simplified, making it easy to do very simple things and then progress to meet more complex demands. The company cultivates a great and interactive community in Miro, which increases the learning, experience, and resources for everyone.

Best suited: - Process mapping - Quick and easy templates - Live editing of prototypes and layouts - Journey mapping - Facilitating and visualizing discussions - Collection and processing of feedback - Visual design - Brainstorming Less appropriate: - Advanced visual design - Tables / Spreadsheets - Data visualization - Org Charts (there is a plug-in, but I feel there are better accessible solutions).
