Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We regularly use Miro for rapid collaboration in meetings, for example, brainstorming about new ideas, drafting a UX Canvas, collaboratively creating personas for our product features, or discovering new opportunities for innovation. We also heavily use it while crafting our new OKR set for a quarter or to facilitate workshops. Lastly, we sometimes use it for sprint retrospectives since Miro offers a fun and easy way to reflect on the past sprint.

Pros

  • Realtime collaboration.
  • Brainstorming
  • Retrospectives
  • Planning

Cons

  • Significantly increased productivity of big-group ideation/brainstorming sessions.
  • Faster innovation cycles.
  • Added fun to recurring ceremonies (like sprint retrospectives).
We had some struggles to get the right people as our Enterprise account admins, which cost us around two weeks. Other than that, our Account Manager, as well as the Support team, have been really responsive and supportive. Also, the migration of all independently created company accounts to one SSO enterprise account was seamless and fast.
As we are working distributed across three different locations (with many home offices as well), we benefit a lot from the collaboration opportunities Miro offers us. Creative whiteboard sessions often came too short due to the lack of physical contact. Now, we can have such sessions with Miro despite being at different locations.

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I love Miro for providing the opportunity to work together in real-time with a lot of different people. It is an exceptional tool for all kinds of synchronous creative content creation in a business context; with as little as five people, it adds a lot of fun to work. I think with less than five people (or even when working alone), I wouldn't use Miro too much. Probably only for creating diagrams or sketches, but I really think the power of Miro comes from the seamless way of collaborating with others in real time.
