Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is widely used in my organization ([...]) across the bigger marketing team (creative, marketing, and ecommerce team). We use Miro as a collaborative tool where we can layout in a board the plan for each month's marketing promotions and make sure they are aligned with what the website and email will promote and what the marketing team GTM strategy is. As the Digital Content Coordinator, I use Miro a lot to look at our emails copywrite, which is laid out in the board, and that's where the creative team lays out what assets we will be using on our website for the marketing team to approve. Overall, Miro has been an easy and great experience to work and ensure alignments across departments. The one suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have a tool where it helps to visually build the homepage for other teams its layout since they will create assets that will get into it. Currently, we need to create using a lot of the forms and putting some text into it, which gives just an idea of the homepage but not a deep understanding.

Pros

  • Allows to put free forms in a board.
  • does not have limit of characters or any limitation on what goes in the board.
  • Allows to work with multiple boards for different brands.

Cons

  • Have the option to not see the tool bar in the right of the screen all the time.
  • Make the hand the default to move in between content and not the mouse, since you can accidentally click on something and mess up.
  • Give the options to see messages you have been tagged on the home section.
  • Miro helped with meetings to be more efficient when showcasing the idea rather than explaining.
  • Some sort of organization rule (if possible to create) to avoid things from getting too stacked since there might be multiple people working on a board at once.
  • It would be convenient to have the picture autoformatting to a shape if pasted into a shape rather than needing to adjust it every time to match the shape size. This would save a lot of time.
It helped a lot for us to collaborate and work on new projects with people that are remote. As I said on my first review, the fact that there is no limit as to what we can put on the board and how we can visually showcase the ideas, specially when showing the idea of a page to a website or something similar, it helps a lot to pass the idea along to other teams with access to that board.
To be honest, we still use both so I did not have to chose. **IF I HAD TO CHOSE** it would be a hard choice. In one side, Figma is better to showcase website pages, as it allows us to have better and easier tools to show even what we would like to have on top of banners and pictures. However, Miro ease of use and the fact that a lot of people in my organization is using Miro, makes it a good and reliable tool to work with others.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is a great visual tool so it helps the marketing team to have an idea of how stuff like a website homepage will look like. However, Miro might not be the best suit for someone that requires a lot of copywrite since in my perspective is more of a "visual" tool than a "content" tool.
