Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro primarily for brainstorming, discovery and ideation sessions. We typically follow a double diamond approach where we refine the problem spaces in our current Sleep Apnea business, curate problem statements and then vote amongst the team. Following on from ideation, we use it to draw out a typical customer journey for our target users so that we can better understand what gaps and capabilities we need to develop.
Pros
- Commenting; ability to share and leave post it notes as feedback
- Voting; ability to vote on particular ideas
- User interface; easy to engage with, no need to learn from training videos
Cons
- Logging in; it always seem to log me out and during brainstorm sessions, this delays the session
- Permissions management; for older boards, it's hard to see who still manages access to a particular board. I don't know who to ask often especially if the board owner is no longer at the company
- Search; finding information within older Miro boards, it would be good if all of this could be found in a generic search bar like chatgpt
- Doubled the number of ideation workshops we can now run virtually
- Reduced travel expenses with more virtual workshops
- More organised thoughts
We have been able to include colleagues who previously were not part of brainstorming. This has improved levels of collaboration and inclusiveness to ensure we have a diverse range of views of perspectives from different cultures, timezones and countries. It has also been a great spot to put thoughts down on paper as part of a backlog for future products we are building
