Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We have adopted Miro during COVID-19 restrictive periods in Singapore, and a time we move most, if not all, of our work processes online. We needed a tool that enabled us to seamlessly work in real-time across my own team members, and have a platform to engage our clients on. These clients engagements needed to include workshop stile co-creation, as well as research outcome sharing, i.e. a way of visually and based on content, sharing of client specific output. In some cases these are limited 'size' yet high collaborator engagements, in other cases this might be highly complex and large research data outcomes for limited corporate counterparts.
Pros
- Seamless team and client interaction in real-time
- Easy and flexible content capturing, management & visualisation
- Enabling brain storming and creating mind maps
- Create data layers around simplified concepts
Cons
- Enhanced data downloading while maintaining the 'relationship' of the data on the board or frame
- Increase capacity limits for text in text boxes. As of a certain size, text is cut off, and formatting can no longer be done.
- For [very] large boards, the interaction speed slows down.
- We could benefit from an enhance integration of apps. E.g. integration of sheets or docs, without having to "paste" data into the board itself.
- Client satisfaction as we could visualise complex data structures
- Supporting 'remote work' policies leading to higher team satisfaction and lower operational overhead costs
- Faster project turn-arounds and accelerated interactions with clients.
During COVID-19 lockdowns, we have been able to keep our client consulting interactions going. Lockdowns forced us to move from traditional physical tools to online ones. In hindsight, this was a blessing because now we are seamless across local and international clients. Shifting to new clients and projects is very easy to do.
I have not evaluated other tools. We have started with Miro, and have not moved away from it.
