Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I work for a corporate innovation agency. Most of our clients are global players, so working remotely and digitally is crucial. Additionally, our work is highly collaborative, so working together in a single space helps. It also makes live collaboration possible with more fun interactions than simply presenting a powerpoint. Additionally, miro boards often function as a place where we store all our research on one big board—customer insights, market insights, assumptions, new ideas, business models, etc. I also like the Miroverse, where you can use others' good work, saving a lot of time and not reinventing the wheel.
Pros
- It is easy to invite others to collaborate on the board.
- Miroverse
- AI translate.
- Ready-made templates.
Cons
- Integrated into Google Drive.
- Having a function that generates possible Slides from info on a specific part of a board. And the possibility of copying those immediately into Google Slides/PowerPoint.
- AI Suggestions for re-ordering the board with better structure.
- No complex numbers, but increased productivity & collaboration.
I wasn't there when we did not have Miro. Still, I can imagine it has impacted every business very positively with regard to collaboration across different locations - especially during the pandemic. Now, it has reduced the amount of travel we do for clients, which positively impacts our sustainability targets - and less costs for clients.
I dislike Mural and InVision as they have fewer functionalities and seem less intuitive for clients to work with. Miro has network effects that most clients have used before. However, we as consultants tend to be able to use each: if our client uses Mural, we do too. But in our own company, we use Miro. What I like about Figma is the connection with Figma, making it easier to work with designers (UX/UI). This is something Miro could work on.
