Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We heavily use Miro to document product discovery work and facilitate workshops and ideation sessions. Mostly, we use sticky notes, free text, and frames, which are the basic features. We appreciate the infinite canvas; although things can get chaotic, it works surprisingly well. We're impressed with how the board handles multiple users, but I've noticed that it has become a bit slower and less snappy over the years.

Pros

  • Infinite canvas.
  • Multiple users.
  • Wireframe library.

Cons

  • Slows my computer down a bit.
  • Slightly disorienting.
  • Team/space/board structure can be confusing. "Space" sounds bigger than "team".
  • Improved collaboration.
  • Storing knowledge from past discoveries.
  • Single source of truth for some projects.
Miro has become a cornerstone of our discovery work. Most of all new product/design projects start with a Miro board. And typically it's one of our main resources, along with a Confluence page (which we do later on).
Miro has a richer feature set and adoption beyond design. FigJam is well integrated with our design software, Figma.
