Miro as a whiteboard.
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We're using it as a brainstorming tool and for diagramming our systems (to various successes). I don't think our org uses any advanced features like calls or discussions; it's mostly a whiteboard for us. I am also using it as a scratchpad for unfinished ideas to remember relationships between different things or to map out projects I am working on—also, a mind mapping tool.
Pros
- Being a whiteboard for diagramming and brainstorming.
- Allowing collaborative editing for multiple users.
- Being a space for stuffing clips and notes to.
- Great at aligning and connecting shapes without effort.
- Mind mapping!
Cons
- HORIZONTAL BRACKETS!!!
- Not saving a board if nothing was added (I don't need those "Untitled" ones).
- More shapes, custom packs I can subscribe to.
- Better visibility of what we're doing as a team — so, improved productivity.
- Aligning everyone in one tool, so saving costs on using a diverse zoo of different tools.
Working on the same whiteboard as a team is, of course, a great thing — it's better than using a physical one because you can see what people are pointing at or what they are doing. We are using it to brainstorm and plan new projects with great success.
