Great Product
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro within my organisation to create clear visualisations for work, cost and organisational breakdown structures. It is also used to create flowcharts for different processes within the company or used to provide process consulting help to clients. In both instances, Miro visualisations are then used in reporting back to various stakeholders
Pros
- Ease of Use- The interface and features are very simple to use and editing an already created visualisation is efficient
- Shared Space- A piece of work is able to be shared amongst certain members of the team who need to work on it. can also be worked on simultaneously. The Miro board does not appear on everyone's home board making each individuals work space less cluttered
- Clear Visuals for reporting- Very friendly on the eye and appealing to stakeholders who have requested Visualisation or process flows
Cons
- There could be more options in terms of templates- flowcharts for examples
- Different options for background/colour theme (professional/creative)
- Output completion time for various projects has decreased.
- The speed at which reviewing work takes has also increased. The shared space allows for quick and efficient reviews
- Not all members of the team use Miro but we pay for access for everyone just in case. Okay at present but if the numbers sway then costing options will need to be reviewed
As stated previously, one of the main benefits that we see from Miro is the collaborative shared space feature. Miro boards can be set up and shared with the relevant people as soon as a piece of work is confirmed to be ours. The work can be completed by multiple people at the same time and also reviewed efficiently
Miro gives more of a modern look to the charts that we produce and is far easier to use compared to Visio.
The downsides of Miro in this comparison is that some clients request for the final outputs to be completed in Visio (for uniformity with their other processes in the organisation). Visio also is available under the Microsoft Office 365 package, making the costing option more effective. Still, we use visio to produce live outputs even if the client requests visio for the final output
