Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for visual collaboration for our distributed team. We were struggling to emulate whiteboarding sessions in a digital setting. Email chains and static documents just weren's cutting it for mapping dynamic processes. Miro provides that virtual whiteboarding space to visualize ideas together, run interactive workships, and create systems that everyone can understand and contribute to. Basically, Miro breaks fown the communication barriers inherent in not being in the same room.

Pros

  • Visualize ideas together in real-time
  • Whiteboarding and diagramming
  • Run interactive workshops

Cons

  • Navigating crowded boards is tricky
  • Lacks granual permission management
  • Offline editing would have been helpful
  • Leads to around 30% time saving in project alignment and kick-off
  • Allows better remote collaboration and team engagement
  • Reduces rework due to misunderstandings
We started using Miro straight out-of-the-box. It's intuitive enough to learn on the go. Once we got a hang of it, integrating Miro with Slack and Asana was straightforward.
Miro offers straightforward integrations with Slack and Asana. It's basic and it works.
Miro reduces the time required to align around new projects. We do a mandatory collaborative kick-off session on Miro for every new project.
In my opinion, Miro does everything Mural does. We just happened to tumble across Miro first and there was no looking back.

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is really well suited for live, remote, amd collaborative workshops and brainstorming sessions. For our specific use case, Miro makes the perfect tool for creating mood boards that everyone can refer back to and comment on.

On the contrary, Miro is no replacement for project management and task tracking. Although you can hack your way around it, it simply lacks the interface and features required for that. It's also not good for long form documentation.
