Overall Satisfaction with Miro

For creating Entity diagrams, data models for the project data base. Also, we user it for user flows, describing detailed flow of how user will interact with the application/platform/website. Miro helps us to visuallize data and general workflow during the project management and also is flexible for changes, easy to do collaborative work internally with colleagues.

Pros

  • User friendly interface
  • Easy to create diagrams, flows
  • I love that you can zoom in/out using mouse easily, no need to use keyboard for that
  • I like how can you create boards, use timers, stickers.

Cons

  • Like in draw io it would be cool to have feature when you can double click at any space not just within lines and figures, and floating box appears with figure options and text.
  • It would be nice if Text option will have bigger font when it first appears, cause when you select it, it's hardly seen unless you zoom in.
  • Since I am quite used to Figma, I new some key shortcuts that were useable here as well, however it might be better to have some small information box with key shortcuts? or tooltip, something like that
  • Improved collaboration within team members
  • Increased productivity
  • Helped to vizualize projects quickly
Well, our organization is fully remote. Miro helps us to collaborate within team, see different projects, track each other while explaining something or presenting something to clients, within team. Easy to share links, give access to necessary people. Good that it has following feature for different people, when project gets bigger, allows to follow the person.
Well, before joining my current company I've never used nor heard about Miro. Mostly, draw io was enough and widely recommended at other places that I didn't have to search for the similar apps. And I used Figma differently from what I use Miro now, it was used purely for UI designs. Overall, Miro seems less laggy than draw.io and better to use for diagrams in comparison to Figma.

Yes

Miro is great for creation different type of diagrams, boards. Recently we started to use it for retrospective meetings where we have timer, boards, stickers. I like the variety of the diagram figures that allows even to create AWS workflows. Although I don't think it would be much appropriate for tracking project through task boards similar to jira or github projects. Or it could be added as separate tool that can be linked to the current workspace diagram, with some sort of dashboard in between where users can navigate? Overall, I like it, easy to use and navigate, would recommend if anyone asked.
