Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used for technical documentation drawing. Most used by architecture team. We are testing to extend the use-cases to include design workshops where we use its as a whiteboard for canvas. Another use-case is also presentations building, but we are yet far as we do not understand miro capabilities to this extend.

Pros

  • Ability to zoom in/out into a considerable depth
  • Ability to provide public access to be used by customer or 3rd party looking to consume read-only mode.
  • Ability to handle teams spaces and participate on external spaces

Cons

  • Ability to embed live document types e.g. MS Word or Excel for active collaboration
  • Ability to provide externally embeddable link e.g. embedded a live/editable Miro frame into a MS Word document or Powerpoint or Sharepoint wiki page
  • Ability to allow for company members which do not need to be fully licensed. e.g. read-mode only of guest.
  • Improved productivity of specific departments
At the tier that I am, implementation was self-served and not guided. There has not been much to implement, rather then allow for access to the tool and correct content.
We mainly use Microsoft suite of products and we could use additional integration options. I trust that its all part of the roadmap. I shared some example during my previous feedback.
Positively. we do have an significantly high culture of remote work and cross-locations, so Miro was easily accepted.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited on organisations that value visual collaboration. Due to my limited knowledge of the different licensing models, I am not sure how to recommend based on company size. I do know that in my case, I do have a significant number of users that would not be leveraging a full license, yet to provided minimal access I do need to license them.
