Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a product manager, I use Miro for roadmapping department initiatives. It's also used to draw process diagrams and during brainstorming sessions. The many templates of Miro are leveraged if needed.

Pros

  • Easy to use.
  • Creating diagrams.
  • Providing templates to start from.
  • Flexibility

Cons

  • Folder organization.
  • Easier to navigate a board when there are lot of content.
  • Easier search functionality.
  • More productive meetings.
  • Easier to discuss during brainstorm.
  • Visual guide, documentation for technical teams.
Easier to collaborate and visualize ideas. When having a brainstorming session, it's easier to get everyone's input and organize thoughts. Our team is mostly remote, so it's been a great tool, given we are across time zones.
Lucid made it easier to make process diagrams, but Miro offers more functionality. It's a more versatile product, and it is easier to have all the information in one space.

Accesiblity among the organizaiton is an issue. If users don't have the right permission it makes it hard to use as a colaborative tool. Tools like Zoom whiteboard are easy to use since there is no issues with permission and accessibility. If there is a meeting that is being had on zoom and we need to start writting out or brainstorming its easier to use Zoom Whiteboards then it is to use Miro given the limitations
