Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for almost everything. Brain storm sessions, process flows, data architecture sketches, user journeys, team retros, customer pain point mapping, etc. Basically anytime we only have a vague idea about needing something but we're not sure how it should work, we take to the wings of Miro and start mapping things out.
Pros
- Group mind mapping
- Process flows
- Data structure mapping
Cons
- Too-strict formatting constraints
- Templates aren't super great, require lots of adjustment
- Team-level sharing sometimes doesn't work resulting in lots of "can you give me access?" requests
- Faster decisions - working with Miro has accelerated our ability to get buy in from other teams
- Reduced churn based on team disconnection
- Better employee retention through effective retros
Miro has enormously helped our ability to collaborate as a remote team. The majority of my team is remote and it's a rarity when we have the ability to work in the same room, and Miro makes it feel like we are in the same room. As a matter of fact, there have been some in-person meetings that we still conduct with Miro because of how effective it is in gather input from the team.
Of all other solutions, Miro seems the most intuitive, the fastest, and the most stable. Rarely if ever crashes or has stability issues and we can get other teams that have never used it collaborating in it within 5 minutes of explanations (not additional meeting needed to talk about how to use tools).
