Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We always use Miro- from mapping workflow diagrams to creating presentations. I like using Miro to create living documents so people across our departments can stay updated. We also use Miro for PI planning, which is great because we have 50+ people working in the same place.
Pros
- Multiple users/editors in the same board.
- Lots of options for shapes, colors, lines, etc, to make good-looking documentation and presentations.
- Quick saving!!
Cons
- When you select all and then choose which elements to edit, it'd be nice if there were more edit options (color, line arrow type, bold/italic).
- Making it easier to find private mode when someone is screen sharing (seeing all the people's arrow trackers is distracting).
- More templates for retrospectives.
- Team building and connection.
- Documentation that's easy to update and share.
- Visually appealing presentations.
Frames and presentations make it easy to prepare for meetings or share documentation. Diagrams/shapes have hugely impacted our ability to keep an up-to-date workflow draft of our software applications. Templates make prepping for team meetings easy and quick, but they also give our team room to be creative and discuss the "same old, same old" with a fresh perspective.
Mainly Jira-- some of our teams like to use the Miro integration but it doesn't work for everyone. I noted in an earlier response that our organization uses validations and conditions in Jira to limit and guide tickets through our sprint boards. When we work in Miro it's not always possible to see if or why a ticket is/isn't moving across statuses. I love that Jira is an option in Miro now, but I'm not sure how much duplicate work'll cause.
Miro is easier on the eyes, and I prefer it by FAR. We use Confluence whiteboards when our team faces Miro access issues (usually new team members), but Miro is way more dynamic and organized. It also has more templates and features to make our documents and boards look how we want.
