Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Our organization used Miro when we did collaborative activities (since many of us were remote). For example, for our quarterly P.I. planning, it was very helpful to have a tool where we could all diagram and 'sticky-note' our quarterly goals and large project milestones. Miro was invaluable during these collaborative sessions

Pros

  • Sticky note & whiteboarding manipulation in large group settings
  • Their AI modules helped to better define work journeys and define project goals
  • Large number of integrations (Jira and Confluence were critical for us!)

Cons

  • With large groups, diagrams and whiteboards can quickly become cluttered and difficult to make sense of
  • Would love to have an AEM workflow integration added!
  • Sometimes their premade templates dont allow for a large amount of customization
  • Provided my team better clarity and transparency on projects/milestones across the team, allowing us to complete them quicker
  • Helped our remote team feel more of a sense of community and helped to bolster team-morale
  • Helped us cut down on travel expenses for team gatherings (since we can now do it all remotely)
It has a very flat learning curve and is easy for all employees to get up to speed quickly on
I would say the AI tools have impacted my work most. I used to struggle to write concise and thorough briefs that explained how my different projects tie together and also tie in with other team members' work. However, their AI modules help me to write these briefs quicker and more thoroughly.
It has not done this significantly. It cant take the place of some of our marketing tools, for example, or other specialized tools. Yes, it eliminates other platforms geared at collaboration. But this still leaves a lot of tools that we use.
Miro is more robust and better suited for large groups. Mural had issues with latency and speed when many people were using it.
