Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is best tool so far that I have ever used for online technical design collaboration. It has fully replaced whiteboard for me and allows me to efficiently interact with my colleagues. Easy and cohesive visualization aspect is what enables it for me. I'm using it for design discussions in our design doc as a reference for system or workflow diagrams also during retrospectives.
Pros
- Very easy to create system digrams
- Easy to create workflows
- Bringing colleagues in one place for collaboration
- Brainstorming
Cons
- Sharing links, sometimes not easy to understand who can see the boards
- having most recently used boxes
- more efficient online discussion
- decreased online meetings
- sharing directly in Confluence
Frames, shapes, diagrams, sticky notes, digrams from marketplaces such as AWS which I'm using extensively as we use AWS a lot. Templates from other people such as sprint retrospective templates. Flowchar templates are also very useful to visualize processes that we create for our devs. Many of those flows I refer from Confluence.
yes, I stopped using Confluence Gliffy diagrams which was my previous to go tool, I also stopped using MS Teams and Zoom meeting drawings which I was using a lot previously during the meetings. Miro looks like from another universe compared with those tools, speed of Miro is still impressing me.
Speed, intuitivness, collaboration aspects of Miro particularly during the meetings are way beyond to competitors. Its indeed a one platform which I use daily, as a Software Architect where I'm every day work with my peers in design or process discussion Miro is invaluable. It does not require any training just start using it :)
