Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I currently work as a consultant and Miro is widely used to facilitate workshops, conduct trainings, design thinking and brainstorming sessions, retrospectives, housing team onboarding content including team introductions, tips, important links and frequently asked questions. Additionally, we use Miro for facilitating other collaborative exercises among internal employees and external consultants.

Pros

  • inserting images
  • easy to use templates
  • Real time collaboration

Cons

  • Board performance for large projects - slow to load with multiple widgets; harder to collaborate
  • Permission and access control is not very intuitive
  • Difficult to go back to an older version
  • Boosted speed and hence team productivity
  • increased participation in retrospectives
  • improved feedback post trainings with collaborative exercises
While some advanced features are not very intuitive to use, most basic functionality on Miro is easy to use even the first time around. It is easy to add stickies and/ or use built-in templates to get started quickly and iterate from there. Integrates with most widely used tools like Jira, MS Teams etc.
Templates and widgets
Easy to use right within an MS Teams meeting as it integrates seamlessly.
Very similar. Both whiteboards are easy to use and comparable.
