Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In my team, we use Miro for storyboarding, creating process flow charts, brainstorming, and visualising. We use Miro both individually and collaboratively, as we find Miro tools to be easy and intuitive to use, and able to create visualisations very quickly. We use Miro to tackle a range of products and problems, from user story mapping to systems and processes. The scope of Miro would be to activities that are text based or qualitative data, as I don't believe Miro to have numerical functionalities, but this would be a great addition to have later down the line.

Pros

  • Invite, share, and collaborate with other users
  • Providing detailed and sample templates for cases
  • Features like text, lines, arrows, are easy to edit and change
  • Menu/Navigation bars are kept minimal to ensure as much drawing space as possible

Cons

  • Menu bar is minimal so it can take some trial and error to find which tab additional features sit in
  • Have the ability to process some numerical or quantitative data
  • It improves productivity and collaboration in a remote setting due to its ease of access
  • It reduces the need to use multiple software for ideating and presentation as Miro has those tools
  • Miro has a wide range of tools and unlimited canvas space, so it can accommodate projects of any size, reducing the need for any rework or resizing due to space limitations
The UI is designed very intuitively, from formatting of navigation tabs and menu bars etc to the use of icons to represent certain features, which makes things relatively easy to find. There is also the search function that does produce results generously. It is also very easy to zoom in, out, and travel around the canvas by use of the mouse or mousepad. I noticed Miro always has a tutorial available each time a new feature or change in layout is done.
Diagramming, process mapping, visual project management, user story mapping, user journey, wireframes, various templates, aesthetic tools like colours, icons, real time collaboration and edits.
Yes, I use less tools and software for some of my tasks, and Miro has become my go to tool when a new task arises that are along the lines of visualising, brainstorming, collaboration, or for any project that is in its early stages, for it is quick to get everyone onboard and started.
Compared to Visio, I found Miro's UI a lot more friendly and easy to use, it was not "clunky" as Visio, and its overall presentation was just nicer and more pleasant to use. Miro had a lot more features and templates available as well. I think overall, it was the look and feel, and along the lines of longevity, I could see myself use Miro more and longer than Visio.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is a tool that mimics a whiteboard, so personally, I find the tool well suited for ideation and brainstorming activities. Because of the templates and structures Miro has, it does make it easier and presentable in creating user stories, or delivering a concept. However, Miro is only text based, so it is less appropriate for delivering ideas on financial or numerical considerations.
