Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro to organise workshops with stakeholders, to gather requirements and insights from the users. I also use Miro to map as-is configurations, to present benchmark and to communicate the results. The main business problem that Miro addresses for me is to share insights into design activities in a clear and visual way that everyone can understand. Another way that Miro is being used in the organization is to run retros and agile ceremonies.
Pros
- organising visual content
- allowing collaboration
- detailing changes
Cons
- text handling
- resizing and scaling
- timeline templates
- stakeholders communication
- collaboration across functions
- insights sharing
I love how easy it is to collaborate on Miro. However, I don't think I take advantage of all its collaborative features. For example, I have never used the dot voting feature, but I always just create the "dots" and have people move them around. Commenting is great and the timer is useful. I also appreciate that the owner is able to show and hide artboards to others.
Miro has always been the go to platform for collaborative activities, but it hasn't really reduced the number of tools, as it's the only one we use for collaborating visually.
Miro is great for collaborating. I think it definitely is better than Mural and Jamboard because it has more features and it's easier to use. Compared to FigJam, as a designer I would probably choose FigJam to have everything in the same product. However, in my opinion, Miro has a better pricing scheme and it's easier for non-designers.
