Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro to whiteboard a variety of projects and items. I often use it as a way to have a flexible structure for deliverable items that need to map to common data sets. The business problem Miro solves is, where other tools require a more strict structure, Miro allows me to create unique views of data being tracked that can be mapped to other tools and systems.
Pros
- Very flexible with structure of data and custom boards
- Super easy to use for beginners and for team members coming onboard
- Well adapted to connecting with other tools and products via integration
Cons
- Support for larger data sets
- Scalability. Because there is no centralized methodology across the board, it limits how we use it to individual efforts as opposed to across the board.
- Organization of data compared to other tools, it can require a bit of a learning curve to understand how everything is organized.
- Better track means revenue impact in a positive way
- More efficient collaboration
- Better visibility to leadership
Specifically, the way custom boards integrate with other ticketing systems like JIRA are super useful to allow us to map just what we want to send to another system and not an overload of data.
It had definitely allowed us to centralize our workflows into a single place and allows for users to not need to move between as many tools day to day as before when the tools connected in Miro all had to be accessed separately on a daily basis.
We selected Miro because it is more flexible than all the other tools we compared against, easier to use, and the interface is beautiful.
