Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is very helpful to create diagrams for documentation and presentations, I work with a legacy code base that has a lot of documentation in text, so mostly Miro became a tool for creating Flow Diagrams to help the team to visualize the process, the colaborative nature of Miro is also very helpful to allow us to work together generating those diagrams
Pros
- Quick and easy to use tools for diagram creation
- a collaborative environment that allows many team members to work together
- Exporting diagrams as images to allow easy sharing outside the team
Cons
- More software related images to allow more detailed network diagrams
- More connectors options for ER diagrams
- Adding links to other diagram so we can add drilldowns into the current ones
- Better overall comunication between dev teams and business times
- Shorter onboarding curves given the improved documentation
- Improvements in communication of possible improvement points in current processes
Asynchronous collaboration is the main one that helped a lot the day to day work. My team is going to different directions and at the same time we as able to collaborate on documentation as mapping of issues as soon as we have time in our separate schedules. Very helpful for a remote team.
For sure! Instead of having on diagramming tool, a tool for doing a retro and another for a brainstorming session we can have everything in Miro and use the export as image feature to document the results and still have the opportunity to come back to it at a later time and continue from where we stopped.
The main thing is having everything centralized in a single tool. We can have on board for retros and keep our previous one documented, we can have a board for one particular project and all diagrams related to it organized, all while using one single tool and one single sharing platform
