Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is something I have been using continuously for almost 2 years, and I use it for strategy creation and sometimes for building mood boards. With Miro, I can easily create all the strategies using mind maps or by creating the entire storyline here. Since I am working in Marketing Department it is solving my problem in terms of creating all the marketing campaigns and calendar in one board which becomes easier for me as well because then I can easily present or share the board with the top management by keeping them in sync and they can also put their suggestions and inputs directly in the board rather than sharing different documents. One board has all the data in one place.

Pros

  • Miro has a good built-in workshop feature, which means if you are in a meeting and discussing something on a Miro board, everyone can cast votes there and leave comments.
  • Brainstorming and Ideation, of course, I do a lot because I have to build in certain strategies, and that requires a lot of stick notes, mind maps, diagrams, and tables, which Miro does very easily.
  • Since Miro has a good Integration feature, I have already integrated Jira and ClickUp, so that if I need to assign something on the spot, it will be assigned to the Jira board as well without opening a new ticket.

Cons

  • Of course, I would suggest that Miro develop more productive, detailed version templates that help users easily build the entire structure from there, rather than creating it from scratch.
  • Miro should make some changes to its AI feature. Of course, it helps with building mind maps, diagram sheets, and tables, but it would be better if it offered more features that would benefit the user.
  • Miro should also add some new features or tools, since I've been using it for 2 years.
  • Productivity has increased because you don't have to be in the same room to discuss strategy when using Miro; everyone can come to one board to discuss and ideate.
  • With Miro, of course many software's has been reduced like sheets, docs, etc.
  • Project Delivery, I would say, has also increased because we create everything on a single board, whether it is a calendar, content, design assets, or ideation.
Because it exceeded my expectations, There was a time where we used to do brainstorming & ideation on the physical whiteboards where afterwards we had to take notes of that as well because it can't remain there forever but miro can plus the traditional documentation storing has also been removed because earlier there were so many documentations which we used to store on local devices which becomes, difficult to find sometimes but Miro has its cloud where you are adding something, you know where it actually is.
Mind maps, tables, and diagrams, for sure, have shaped my day-to-day work. With mind maps, I create branches of my thinking that reflect what I am thinking and need to be on the board. In my marketing work, I create calendars to maintain schedules. I use tables and diagram flow when building funnels, explaining the flow, or mapping a journey.
As I mentioned earlier, it has decreased the traditional method of creating docs. Now we can do it on Miro. You want to add content or use Miro for content. You want to build tables or add data. Use Miro. You want to integrate software and want them in one place. Miro can do that. So, 60-70% of tasks can be managed in Miro.
I haven't used any competitor to Miro; I started using it directly after getting good recommendations from YouTube and Google search.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro was well-suited for building workflows, such as funnel stages. From ideation to execution, you can build it all in one place, and with multiple tools and features, we can create the entire structure there. Talking about this, it is not just the whiteboard; it goes beyond imagination. Miro may be less appropriate for creating a task board, since we can integrate Jira/ClickUp there; it doesn't make sense to create another board.
