Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Easier to collaborate with remote team members.
  • Time savings in consolidating project status updates and information.
  • Reduced reliance on email and/or Excel workbooks.
Used by several departments for project management and status tracking.

Pros

  • Flexibility to accommodate different scenarios and needs.
  • Ability to collaborate with external users.
  • Ability to automate repetitive tasks and actions.
  • Ability to create forms to allow external input into your boards.

Cons

  • Steeper than average learning curve.
  • Requires a change-driver to drive implementation and learning.
  • Not the most suited when dealing with large data sets.
System is highly usable once you gain familiarity but has a somewhat steep learning curve which could make initial adoption more challenging than anticipated. Would recommend identifying a change driver to be the steward in managing implementation and learning across users. Implementation on a department level first may be more suitable.
Extremely fast and helpful support responses. One of the best I've encountered.
System is reliable and no complaints on uptime. Features are continuously being added which enhances capabilities significantly. Requires users to keep up to date with the changes in order to make the most out of the system.

It is well suited to scenarios that are dynamic and have frequent status changes and/or external collaborators. The different board views provides flexibility to cater to different preferences in how information and statuses are displayed.

It is not suited towards use cases that involve large data sets with frequent filtering and computation of such data sets.
