Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

I personally use monday.com for monitoring and tracking all the organisation's fundraising activities. As a registered charity, we submit applications for funding for various projects from a range of funders. I was able to create a 'Fundraising Log' via monday.com to record all funding applications, recording the following information which I am then able to filter by:
- Funder name
- Amount requested
- Amount received
- Project applied for
- Type of funder (Grantmaking Foundation or contract)
- Date applied for
- Date of response

This is all very useful information to inform our fundraising strategy going forwards, as we can filter out information related to specific categories to understand where our successes and shortfalls lie. The automations I have been able to integrate with the Fundraising Log have also removed a lot of the manual burden of logging and recording information.

Pros

  • Automations to move items in the right group once a particular status is changed
  • Ability to automate information into visual data graphics to present to colleagues
  • Reactive customer support service

Cons

  • I think the ability for widgets to create visuals using multiple numeric sets of data could be improved. For example, the battery widget does not allow me to track the progress of funding received against our overall target as these are two numerical figures. It appears the widgets are based upon qualitative data/input.
  • It has vastly improved the efficiency of our operations across the business, allowing colleagues to use the same platform for management of all projects across the organisation. It is therefore a much quicker way of finding information on particular projects/work.
I find monday.com to be a very user-friendly platform that is simple to navigate. As long as users can be shown by their colleagues the specific boards/projects set up on monday.com by the organisation, I see no reason why it shouldn't be simple to quickly become accustomed to using the platform effectively.
I have always been responded to within 24 hours of my request. Even where there has not been a solution to my request (usually to do with automation of financial data), the customer support team has always endeavoured to find me the best solution for my specific needs.
monday.com is a highly reliable platform. It has greatly increased the efficiency of our previous ways of working.

It is well suited for project management across all facets of the organisation, as you can easily update the status of tasks and leave comments for colleagues to see progress without them having to chase you for information.

It is less appropriate for analysis and automation of numerical/financial information, as spreadsheets have far more fiunctionality for this level of data manipulation.
