Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

We have started using Monday.com in the last 12 months. It's mostly used for project management across a wide variety of projects; mostly for IT related projects. It is a useful way of tracking all aspects of the project from inception, requirements gathering, tender process, supplier due diligence requirements, contract negotiation, through to implementation and beyond. We have also started using Forms within Monday.com which has proved very useful.

Pros

  • Managing timelines for projects.
  • Recording history of events through adding notes, with date and time recorded.
  • Forms that can be used both internally and sent to external parties.

Cons

  • It is not always easy to keep track when there are a huge number of projects - it can be hard to find the specific one you're looking for in a long list.
  • Some of the functions are very similar and then require updating as they aren't linked (e.g., a due date column and also a timeline column) - although this is probably due to our organization experimenting with all the options available, rather than poor product design!
  • It has allowed summaries to be created quickly and easily for the CEO, FD, and board.
Once I had be shown how the system worked (with minimal time commitment required to feel proficient), I have found it very intuitive and flexible.
Support has been good - although not much is required.
Monday.com works as described - so far, we have found no bugs. It has been extremely helpful to have all projects managed on one system, with summaries in a defined, consistent format but allowing for projects to be managed at a detailed level in the way that is most suitable for each project.

This is, without doubt, the most flexible system I have used. Originally purchased to use for purely project management tasks, we are now considering using it for one department to manage their budget in Monday.com and further experimenting with using the system to track supplier invoices and payment approvals.
