Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint
We are using SharePoint as our internal intranet solution, it hosts a large number of corporate documents. We also use it for team collaboration, project collaboration and as a central repository for team information. Our corporate news and applications are all linked through the intranet and it also hosts electronic forms and workflows.

SharePoint is a more mature product than Confluence but this does come with both positives and negatives. We are a heavy MS technology company so using SharePoint is a logical step for us. If you are not heavily invested in MS tech then Confluence is a perfectly viable option to use and provides a lot of the same wiki\collaboration tools.
