Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP
I am one of the administrators on the program so I support others with questions, report building, inventory adjustments, etc. I am also one of the sales engineers and in that capacity I am tasked with new sales, procurement, purchasing and production of new sales accounts. The business problem NetSuite solved was our company had outgrown QuickBooks. So now our concerns are quickly learning NetSuite. Thus iI am doing a lot of training and development of workflows and processes for other sales people.
- Inventory control - I find it great to lookup an item and see our current inventory, what we purchased for last time, etc.
- Account management - I find it very easy to see where my accounts stand in regards to debt collection down to production time frames.
- Reporting - the reporting is very straight forward and easy to use.
- Reporting - I have worked with some reporting modules that make it much easier to understand what you are looking at and where the data is coming from.
- Knowing what an assembly should cost just by looking at the BOM. All current data should be calculated and visible.
- Calculating gross margin easily. We get paid on margin and our numbers seem to change as the day changes.
- Positive - speed of information. Our former ERP was QuickBooks which locked up daily.
- Positive - growth potential. We are a small company that is growing quickly. We will be able to grow with NetSuite.
- Negative - reporting needs some enhancement. It covers what you desire but it takes time and experience to utilize it properly.
NetSuite came as a recommendation form one of our clients. They are identical to us in size and needs so we just decided on NetSuite.
