Overall Satisfaction with Nutanix AOS

Nutanix is used by the whole organization as we run VMware on Nutanix for all our servers in various campuses. Nutanix makes it very easy to implement firmware updates from hypervisors to AOS.

Pros

  • One click & easy updates.
  • Self healing.
  • Everything in one cluster.

Cons

  • I find the licensing hard to get around.
  • We have cut our server farm down from about 20 hypervisors down to 6 hypervisors.
  • We have cut our power bill down.
  • We use less cooling.
Nutanix have always been helpful when we have an issue, otherwise they create a solution.

We have cut down on our "downtime/outtime" for servers. That is - we have less downtime.
It's simplified our lives by having storage & compute all on one hardware platform. It's easy to access and understand.
