Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely
We use Optimizely whenever our front end/design team wants to make changes to the UI. Using A/B tests with Optimizely, we measure different kinds of user engagement (search actions, registrations) and use the results to help drive design decisions. On-boarding and support from Optimizely was first-rate. I'd recommend for anybody looking to start use A/B testing for their front end.
- Quick and easy test setup if you've got the html/css changes ready to go.
- Detailed analytics, providing all sorts of quality information such as totals vs uniques.
- Support always picks up the phone right away! Great with answering your questions and often also give suggestions on better ways to test
- Please add more APIs for exporting data and integrate into a data warehouse so that we could perform our own analytics!
- The Optimizely script sometimes slows page loading time.
- It would be nice to be able to auto-pause experiments at a particular time.
- Before using Optimizely, we were shooting in the dark with our design decisions. We'd make a change, then have to wait to see our user numbers drop over the course of a couple weeks, then roll back the changes. Our front end team would get frustrated with the wasted time, and try again. With Optimizely, our decisions are data-driven, morale doesn't take a hit, and we are always moving forward with our site.
