Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely

Optimizely is used to test and optimize web pages. It's used in the process of answering business questions in more detail, beyond just using analytics.
  • Setting up simple tests.
  • Easy implementation.
  • Simple metrics to make conclusions based on the test results are easy to set up.
  • It's not complex enough in web interface changes and experience building.
  • It can interfere with the live versions of the page and disrupt the design.
  • Analytics platform does not integrate with popular tools like Adobe Analytics.
  • Although it's fairly priced, we had to discontinue and use Target instead.
  • ROI was not great, as the questions and projects were too complex to implement with Optimizely.
  • It definitely helped us understand the importance of testing before implementation.
We selected Target, as it has more advanced functionality and integrates with Analytics.
Simple A/B testing of web pages, creating versions of action on the page and testing them with certain traffic distribution for true insights on user experience.
