Overall Satisfaction with Outreach

Outreach is being used by our entire sales organization to manage tasks and track prospect engagement. It helps our reps to be efficient with their time, manage strategic outreach efforts, and have the context they need when reaching out to the many people we engage with on a day to day basis.

Pros

  • Outreach is extremely customizable to fit to any strategic emailing/calling campaign
  • Outreach has a quick and reliable sync with Salesforce
  • Outreach makes it easy to make 100 calls and 100 emails daily

Cons

  • Sometimes Outreach settings can be too complex to really know what's happening behind the scenes
  • The sync with Salesforce takes some engineering and thus is slow to change when the reps find a mapping issue
  • Outreach prospect profiles can sometimes be a little "noisy" with information
I do not generate reports regularly through Outreach. But I will at times use the data reports showing best time to call, best time to email, number of calls/emails for reps on my team. As with a lot of sales programs, the data is only as good as the information entered, and sometimes our reps don't do a great job of that. Reports would be valuable if the data could be trusted.
  • Outreach drives massive pipeline for your organization if utilized fully
  • Outreach reduces churn for current customers by being able to have relevant context for every engagement
  • Outreach saves reps time and allows them to do more selling, less data entry
I've used Salesloft in the past and Outreach is by far my preference. I found it to be much more customizable, easier to use from a UX standpoint, and better at its core function of managing day to day tasks. I don't have insight into cost, but based on value, I'd choose Outreach 10/10 times.
If there is any kind of outbound sales team, Outreach is vital. It's adept at managing thousands of contacts and bringing a relationship history with each one. Customer Success teams benefit greatly from knowing the history of engagement with prospects as well. If you're strictly B2C, Outreach may not be fully necessary.
