Overall Satisfaction with Outreach
We use Outreach for email communication and email tracking for most teams on our revenue organization (sales, cs, partnerships). We also heavily use sequences for onboarding steps, renewal remembers, outbounding efforts, in conjunction with other AI SDR tools, and for sequencing new prospects. Demand generation uses Outreach for marketing efforts as well.
Pros
- Sequences and sequencing to communicate en masse
- Templates to be shared across teams
- Tracking email comms of individual users
Cons
- Triggers can be unreliable or unpredictable at times. Once an email is triggered, it is in the queue and does not update based on other actions or meta data.
- The sync with Salesforce can also be unreliable at times.
- The tool does a solid job, but is not overly cutting edge or innovative.
- Speed to lead -- triggers enable us to contact prospects in a timely manager
- Avoid manual work -- send sequences or emails via CSV saves time
- Visibility into email communications helps team work together and get up to speed quickly on an account
We have not greatly utilized these capabilities because we look to other tools to do this with where we have had greater success or confidence. We use Gong for call recording and between their native functionality and that of Scratchpad's AI summaries/field fills, that's more useful for our team than Outreach.
- Groove and a Clari company
We stuck with Outreach in the past because Groove did not have as advanced trigger options, but we liked the benefits that Groove has with a native Salesforce integration. Ultimately, we stayed with Outreach because we did not have the bandwidth in order to implement a new solution well and have stayed with them while we tackle larger priorities in our toolstack first.
