Overall Satisfaction with PathFactory

We use PathFactory for most of our core content experiences. We use it to create tracks of multiple pieces of content for newsletters, email campaigns, etc. We also use it to build landing pages/microsites for ABM campaigns. The main use case is providing prospects/customers with multiple pieces of content in one place, rather than a single asset. Each track encourages people to "binge" on multiple pieces.

Pros

  • Multi-asset experiences
  • Content consumption analytics
  • Customer support (shout out to [...]!)

Cons

  • The UI is confusing. Has been improved, but still too hard to find things
  • Analytics are too slow. Migrated from Looker to something else, but the old and new experience are both quite slow
  • Customizable URL slugs for uploaded content
  • Increase in multiple-asset views
  • Time-savings for our content team and MOps (since the content team can self-serve)
We are able to rapidly deploy ABM campaigns by cloning microsites and easily customizing them for new prospects. We are able to increase engagement with our newsletters by providing people with a single place to view the content from the newsletter, rather than having to go back to the email and click each piece of content individually.
I was not part of the initial deployment, which was many years ago. However, they remain easy to work with and provide great customer support.
I previously described this, but people are able to binge multiple pieces of content, which has increased how much content they review in a single session. This is definitely PathFactory's secret sauce.
I find PathFactory provides a better content consumption experience than other platforms I've used previously. Tracks, for example, are fairly straightforward, in concept and in consumption, which is better than other "fancier" ways of presenting content.

PathFactory is easy to use, so it's great for content teams that aren't technical and want to quickly and easily upload/link content for various experiences. It's also highly-customizable, with the team willing to build out unique functionality for clients via scripts, and to improve the product. It's much faster/easier than most landing page platforms, when it comes to presenting multiple pieces of content.
