Paycom Review
Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
So we as it for payroll obviously, and then when I started they had not used the notifications and so I started implementing the notifications to go out to employees to do different things that are happening. So if we're having flu shot day or things like that. So we'll email the team. We keep compliance and documents, all of that. So that full spectrum.
Pros
- ...[My account specialist] ... is the most amazing account specialist there is that I know. And so I would say setting her, being able to answer questions on a dime and just the response rate of her is absolutely phenomenal. But if you're looking at just the product, what I tell people is it's it's going to pull out what you put in. It's not psychic and so you can't assume that it knows exactly where your mind is. So it's going to do exactly what you tell it to do.
Cons
- I'll tell you one of the biggest disappointments is I found out on Facebook in a group that the Equifax went out and we had never signed in, opted in. Nobody could show us where it was. That should have been an opt out or opt-in where everybody was notified. And so that was a big thing for our leadership because while it may not be a big deal and I know that Paycom is secure with data, it should still be a communicative before it happens, know that it was about to happen. So that's big.
- So I would say in the very beginning it was very negative because they set it up wrong. So what is that going to say? Right? What I said in the very beginning, it's going to put out what you put in. They put everything in wrong. So everybody thinks Paycom is a horrible thing that are out in our field. It's not Paycom's fault person that created it. So we've had to work through all of that to get that. It's not Paycom, it's not its fault, it's the person that set it up. So I think to me that's been the hardest thing to overcome but we've been working on it. And how would you feel about it now after I feel much better about it. I was feeling really good until the Equifax and the moment the Equifax went out, it really put a damper on our leadership of trust. And so I feel like if that wouldn't have happened, we would gone through with a conversion, I would've gotten PAS approved. So many things were waiting on this one thing, then the Equifax went out and it lost total trust. And so I'm trying to rebuild what I worked a year for. So that's hard
I would say it's simplified a lot because there are a lot of things that are automatic. Again, it goes back to it's been a mess because it wasn't put in the first time correctly. So I think if you do it right you're not a problem, but you've got to enter everything correctly. So if you do what it's meant to do, you're good.
I'll tell you what I wish Paycom would do because there are certain things I want, but it's like piecemeal. You have to pay for five pieces. But if you had an overall, there are systems that I want but it doesn't work as automated because we don't have them, right? So if we had pfs then certain things would work better if we had everything. I used to have everything my first job and it was a beautiful right the way, it's the whole shebang. But if you kind of could not piece smell it and put different packages together where it's not as cumbersome for governments, we're small government but we still are interested, how do we make that more efficient monetarily.
