Overall Satisfaction with Paycor

We started as just an outsourced payroll, but have began using it as an HRIS

Pros

  • Smaller organizations
  • Basic payroll functions
  • Online resources for help

Cons

  • Linking functions together in a workflow
  • Needs stronger HRIS capabilities
  • More consistency in functions
  • We have implemented audits that take up many hours per month due to lack of fields linking together
  • Our ACA reporting is completely manual - taking 30+ hours to complete for 5,000 employees
  • Some fields are reportable, while others are not (e.g. exclusion from the 401k)
Not sure. - As we grow, the expectations we have grow, but the system hasn't grown with us.
Lack of ability to be customized and lack of fields linked together.
Paycor doesn't have the same functionality for the HRIS piece as the others. Paycor was selected by our payroll provider when we were small.

Paycor was solid as a payroll system when we were a smaller company (under 200) when all was managed by the home office.
Paycor struggles with larger populations who need a more robust HRIS system with consistent functionality. For example, a job title isn't linked to a dept, a pay class, a union status, etc. Pay classes on the HR side don't link to the timekeeping side. ACA reports are manual for us.
