Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use multiple modules within Paylocity to seamlessly integrate HR, payroll, community/culture, performance reviews, technology, and strategic initiatives - without having multiple logins or programs. Additionally, Paylocity's tech-first approach enables data and analytics to ensure we are in compliance, find out weak points, and roll out company initiatives and communications.
  • Integration between modules, so information entered in one place imports into the other modules. The employee & employer don't have to enter duplicate information.
  • Company Administrators can override approvals where needed - if a supervisor can't get to something, we're not stuck!
  • Tech-first support team constantly welcomes suggestions of things that can be built out on the back end to enhance system capabilities.
  • More customizability in the rating system in the Performance Reviews module.
  • Information accessible in login/account settings to immediately see in one place the names & contact info for our assigned client consultant, account manager, Benefits support manager, etc.
  • More consistent processes.
  • Ensures higher rate of compliance.
  • Reduced errors.
  • Better data-driven decision making.
Paylocity enables us to send follow-up reminders to employees who haven't completed an assigned document, task, or training. I'm not spending my days chasing employees down to sign forms or manually enroll them in benefits - they make the selections, digitally sign forms, and everything is saved and documented without me having to scan and upload anything. The time & date stamp on the paper trail has been vital in protecting the company from unnecessary risk.
We utilize a different platform for most of our community engagement, but the Peer Recognition option has been a helpful tool when employees notice other employees doing an outstanding job. It's refreshing for our employees to hear positive feedback from someone other than the supervisor.
ADP Workforce Now was incredibly unfriendly to users and administrators alike. We had no control over user accounts, settings, creating custom reports, etc. It's also super boring to look at, so our employees never logged in. Paylocity is immediately visually bright & attractive, with enhanced capabilities for us as company admins to unlock user accounts, assign new users, import information, create custom reports, and have a personal dashboard view different from the admin dashboard view. Paylocity has engaged many more of our employees through the usability of the mobile app, as well.

I genuinely believe any industry could use Paylocity. The variety of modules available means each company can pick which modules are most appropriate for its particular situation. For example, we intentionally use a different time tracking system as it also generates our billing reports to clients. We don't utilize Paylocity's time & attendance module, but we do use it for Payroll and just import the exported timesheet information. Paylocity provides an excellent range of training, BUT they aren't OSHA- or safety-focused training - companies needing OSHA-approved training would still need an outside source to provide that requirement.
