Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity to help with our payroll and tax services as well as the day-to-day things such as employee time off requests, PTO tracking, timesheets, time tracking, etc. We use it as a one-stop shop for the majority of our employee's needs, so they don't have to have multiple phone apps or computer programs to worry about while they are employed with us.
  • Running payroll processes.
  • Mobile app for clocking in and out.
  • Timesheet and PTO accrual tracking.
  • Customer service for tax related issues.
  • The administrator end of things is not intuitive and requires a lot of training/learning to figure things out.
  • Reduced time for day to day HR and managerial tasks.
  • Better employee experience.
  • Reduced payroll errors.
The automation of payroll has cleared up several hours of work a week for our HR and Accounting team. The Paylocity app that employees are able to use has been especially helpful in giving employee's the resources that they need to find their own answers to questions which in turn has saved managers in the company a large amount of time.
This isn't a feature that we have used much in our company.
Paylocity has a lot more features and customizability overall. Their customer service is very responsive and easy to get ahold of.

Overall, Paylocity has helped with a lot of things. Having them take care of running payroll and general tax filing is very convenient and nice not to have to deal with, especially in a small-midsize company where we have a one-person HR team. The side of the app that the employee views is well put together and simple to use. The downside to Paylocity that we have seen is on the tax customer service side. Their tax team seems to have a 2-3 week lead time for questions which can be very inconvenient when trying to work out certain tax-related issues. I also find it particularly difficult to set things up. I'm always having to search through their help section to figure out how to do certain processes.
