Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is used for Time & Attendance, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits Administration, GL reporting, Onboarding, etc. We had issues with FMLA tracking but was resolved and now works fine. There are always updates to the software but mostly behind the scenes to make the functionality better. Reporting is quite robust and if there are not already reports available, you can build your own.
- Time and Attendance
- Benefits Administration
- Payroll processing
- FMLA Tracking
- New Customer Converssions
- Cut payroll time processing by approving timecards online instead of paper
- Timecards can be approved by backup manager in the event of time off requests
- General Ledger reporting was a great help for data entry person
- Building a custom report was simple and got what we needed when we needed it
Automated processes have been numerous and effective for time saving overall. We can even set up reports customized for each task needed for different purposes and users. Configuration is KEY in getting the processes to do what you want them to do though. Customer service is the best I have seen. If your dedicated representative is not available, others who have the same expertise are able to take care of your needs.
Honestly, we have not promoted these functions as much as we should have. But the bit that I have delved into was quite nice and informative.
ADP was a big disappointment for me. Their reporting was old and clunky and almost no customization whatsoever. I used Millenium3 for several years and might still today, but HR wanted a shared database (which Paylocity gave us). Having a shared database has cleared a lot of discrepancies between the depts.
When deciding on a software to change to we considered Payroll Link, Acentis and a few others, but Paylocity seemed to be the best fit for product functionality as well as price. Since we are a non-profit, we needed to watch our pennies and Paylocity was our best choice.
