Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for a variety of HR & Payroll functions. We use Paylocity for recruitment and candidate tracking, onboarding tasks, PTO accrual and tracking, running payroll, direct deposit, benefits administration and payroll deductions, performance review tracking, and more. We are a relatively small organization, and Paylocity allows us to manage these many functions in a manageable way to support our team.
  • Many functions in one platform
  • Strong functionalities once you learn how to use them
  • Helpful customer service available to answer questions and provide support
  • Very difficult and not intuitive to run reports
  • Onboarding and hiring configuration are convoluted and not intuitive
  • Difficult to find where functions live in the interface
  • Not a user-friendly way to track things like who is due for an annual review
  • Not always clear exactly what changes were made when approving employee changes
  • Ability to manage a lot of functions in-house for a small organization
  • Poor design requires the need to cross-manage with other applications or duplicate data in other places for better utilization
I can't speak much to Paylocity's automation of payroll. We don't use Paylocity for time tracking because it does not have degree of detail we're looking for in our organization. It is difficult to use Paylocity for talent acquisition and strategic work because it is not a very intuitive way to access, visualize, and track data. We do not use automated processes much through Paylocity. Much of the work we do with Paylocity is still very manual.
We do not use these functions in Paylocity. Employees do not interact with Paylocity often, except for open enrollment, to update their information, or change their direct deposit settings.

ClickUp, Replicon Time & Attendance
Paylocity has a strong platform that can do a variety of things, but many of them are not intuitive and difficult to make use of in practice. It is not very clear or user-friendly, so I find myself not utilizing all of its functions or not using it for things like tracking performance reviews, candidates, etc.
