Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

It's a great site for payroll. It was super easy to learn how to process payroll. We also utilize onboarding. The processes are also very simple and easy to use as a new hire in HR. It keeps employee data, and I am able to easily pull reports for all of the information I need at any given time. We have also utilized the recruiting portion of Paylocity to send out any new job postings we have.

It has definitely made payroll quicker and easier to complete, so I can focus more on other tasks throughout payroll week.
The community portion of Paylocity has been great because we put all of our events that are happening on the site so we can let employees know right away about something that is happening onsite.
Paycom was tougher to navigate and less efficient because they did not link up with Principal (401k site), and the processes were so much more manual.

I definitely recommend it to your payroll provider. Payroll has been simple, and it connects with our 401k provider (Principal), so it takes away having to do extra work on that part. Being able to pull reports is easy, and I find what I am looking for a lot of the time. The onboarding process is also simple, especially with the I-9 verification, because it takes away from having to use paper and eliminates the manual process. I would say the learning portion is not really there if you want to create your own and add it. On other payroll websites I have used, you could upload your own training courses.

Using Paylocity

93 - The business functions our company represents are: HR, Finance, R&D, Quality Control, Production, IT, Senior management, supply chain, sales. We are a manufacturing company with an array of employees.

It is incredibly user friendly and easy to use whether you have the app or are on a computer. I am able to do payroll quickly and efficiently. I am able to onboard our employees with ease while making sure they have everything they need before they start their 1st day. Being able to pull a report for my manager regarding timecard hours, employee start dates and other useful information is also quick and easy and already set for me. It is a very reilable souce for us.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors

Yes - We replaced it with ADP a long time ago. The ADP system was tough and not as user friendly as Paylocity. It did not have as many items either. Paylocity has so many elements to it, as it houses the onboarding process, workflows, surveys and recruiting, whereas ADP felt strictly like a simple payroll system.

The ease of use was the major factor when switching. Paylocity is more user friendly and has more to offer employees than ADP.
We would not change anything about our selection process. I have utilized ADP, Paycom with my previous employers and Paylocity is by far the superior system.

Paylocity Support

I utilize the Paylocity number and service email quite often for questions and they are always quick to respond and are able to assist with any troubleshooting I may have about many of the tabs in Paylocity. Payroll and reports are 2 of the main items I usually have questions with and they always are able to help me with ease.

I did not even know this was an option. Regardless if we purchased it or not, we always have great help.
I was having an issue with the check calculator for an extra check in the VM batch and I called in to ask for assistance and the rep went above and beyond by looking into it on her end, trying it out for herself to see if it was something on my end or her end, and bringing it up to her management team to look at. We ended up resolving the issue and she told me to send her screenshots and examples if it were to happen again. She was incredible and helped me out.

Using Paylocity

It has all of the information you could need as an HR Generalist and it very user friendly. Payroll is extremely simplified for me, I can post a survey quickly and can review time punches and onboard new employees quickly and efficiently. If I ever make a mistake, I can always fix it fast.

Yes - The app is very simple to use and I feel that most of our employees use this more than the desktop website.

Paylocity Reliability

Our main function for Paylocity is payroll, data insights for employee working hours and onboarding. This has been a very reliable source for us for these functions. Payroll has been extremely easy to do using Paylocity. The onboarding process is very simple for new hires and makes the process run smooth. It is easy to find the information you are looking for while on Paylocity.
I can always call the direct number and there is a representative always available to answer questions. I can also email the service desk for Paylocity or my representative and they are pretty quick to respond if we are having issues.
We had some minor hiccups throughout the year but they have all been fixable. Paylocity integrates well with our 401k provider, Principal, and our benefits, OneDigital. It makes it simple to house everything and have it all connected. It doesn't slow anything down to have Principal integrated. It makes it more efficient.
